The story behind how our company was founded

ALXR began as a trusted furniture supplier to the NHS, but we’ve never been about sticking to convention. Our mission is to raise the bar across every sector we touch – from healthcare and education to IT and retail.

Today, ALXR is expanding into IT services and medical solutions, while continuing to deliver the quality, speed, and integrity our clients expect. We exist to simplify procurement and empower organisations with smarter, faster, and more impactful solutions.

2019 - Foundation
ALXR is officially incorporated in the UK. Established as a procurement, distribution, and consultancy business supporting healthcare and public sector organisations.
2020 – Rapid Supplier Network Growth
Builds a strong supplier base across: Medical equipment, PPE & single-use/reusable consumables. Develops a reputation for responsive, cost-effective sourcing.
2021 – Multi-Sector Expansion
Expands beyond healthcare into: Education sector (schools, colleges, universities), Care homes & supported living environments and Office & workspace furniture.
2022–2023 – Public Sector & Solutions Development
Strengthens presence across: NHS, Education sector, Care organisations. Evolves into a solutions-led partner, offering: Procurement support, Project coordination and End-to-end delivery.
2024–2025 – Digital & Framework Growth
Expands into: Digital solutions, Data-led procurement. Secures and delivers through public sector frameworks and private organisations.
